What a week in Detroit! 💜
This October, PMI-LA participated in two major PMI events: the Leadership Institute Meeting (LIM), where chapter leaders gathered to share ideas and strengthen their local communities, and PMI Global Summit 2026, which brought project professionals from around the world together to learn, connect, and celebrate the profession.

October 18 | Hello, Detroit! 👋
Our PMI-LA team arrived in Detroit and took in the city before kicking off a busy week of chapter leadership activities.

October 19 | Connecting With Chapter Leaders
From the opening reception to the M.O.R.E. exercise, we met chapter leaders, exchanged ideas, and started the week with new perspectives.
October 20 | Learning From Each Other
Sessions explored PMI's new membership model, marketing, governance, and chapter culture. We also caught up with our friends from PMI Orange County and San Diego!
October 21 | What Makes LIM Special?
We caught up with Angelo Salazar to hear about his LIM experience and what stood out from the week.

Global Summit brought together project professionals from across the world. We also caught up with PMI's Christopher Eckstine for a fun interview!

We also invited PMI-LA members attending Global Summit to connect over coffee at Great Lakes Coffee.
October 24 | One Last Look at Detroit
From Jimmy Chin's lessons on teamwork and risk to a behind-the-scenes look at the Monroe Streetscape Project, the final day offered more opportunities to learn and connect.
