Picnic Recap: A Sunday with the PMI-LA Community

A Sunday with the PMI-LA Community

Sometimes it’s nice to get together without an agenda.

On Sunday, PMI Los Angeles members, chapter leaders, friends, and families gathered at Veterans Memorial Park in Culver City for our PMI-LA community picnic.

It was very much a family affair. PMI-LA President Meeta Autrey brought her baby, other members brought their families, and we even had a few four-legged guests join us. Kids played with the Spider-Man bubble machine while everyone settled in for an afternoon of food and conversation.

And there was plenty to eat. We gathered around a spread of tacos with chicken, beef, and tofu options, along with salad and sides, with enough left over for some guests to take a little home.

Between tacos and catching up, we also sat down with several PMI-LA members for short interviews about their experiences, careers, and connection to the chapter. We’ll be sharing more of those stories soon.

The afternoon ended with everyone coming together for a group photo, capturing members, volunteers, friends, and families all in one place.

Thanks to everyone who spent their Sunday with us. Take a look at some of our favorite moments from the afternoon below.
