PMI Talent Triangle is Evolving!
In our changing world, project professionals must be more nimble and resourceful than ever to keep pace and create impact.
As new industries, practices, and technologies emerge, project professionals and their teams are challenged to pivot quickly and work even more efficiently - all so they can deliver value in our changing world.
PMI has always been committed to empowering project professionals to develop a robust set of skills, but project professionals now need a skillset inclusive of different disciplines and practices, as well as other in-demand skills.
To help project professionals navigate this changing world of work and embrace smarter ways of working, we’ve updated the sides of the PMI Talent Triangle to now focus on: Ways of Working (formerly Technical Project Management), Power Skills (formerly Leadership), and Business Acumen (formerly Strategic and Business Management).
What does this mean to me?
It is just new categories for what you are managing today. Your PDUs earned in each category will remain intact. The requirements for 8-8-8 in each category still exist and the requirement for 60 PDUs every cycle for PMP still applies. The only thing that is changing is the naming convention. When you look at our website, be sure to get the correct skill set PDU category events for what you need to renew your credential.
