Q&A with Beth

1. What aspects of your involvement in this chapter bring you the most satisfaction?

I love the social aspect of PMI – LA. I enjoy participating and volunteering in the events and seeing the people who I have come to know over many years and meeting new members in their earlier stages of their careers.

2. Considering your experience, what guidance would you offer to newcomers joining the chapter?

I would suggest coming to events that interest you and meeting other members. If you have the time become a volunteer.

3. What personal benefits do you derive from your volunteer contributions to PMI-LA?

It is very rewarding to volunteer on a team and to help organize events and to see how great they turn out and how other members enjoy them. It is also great earning PDUs for the effort.

Do you have a PM Tip that you would like to share with chapter members?

Stay organized at all times and document everything. if something isn’t documented no one will remember what was said or what they committed to. Stay up to date on PM technologies. Go to the PMI conferences if possible.
