Speaker: Joie Seldon
Topic: The Power of Emotional Intelligent Leadership for Project Managers
Project Managers are crucial to a company’s success. Yet, with all your responsibility, not having direct reports who you have authority over makes your job challenging, to say the least.
How do you get others to tow the line and give you what you want, when you want it? How do you communicate effectively with know-it-alls, incompetent managers, and apathetic individuals or teams?
Emotional Intelligence is key for two important aspects of a PM’s job: minimizing your stress and communicating in ways that gets the results you want. Plus, the skills can be applied to all aspects of your life. And, research consistently shows that Emotional Intelligence lowers costs and increases profits.
In this presentation, you will learn:
- The myths about emotions that cause breakdowns in communication
- Keys to eliciting true commitment to shared goals
- Tools for diminishing your stress and that of others
- The common thread in different personalities
