06/14/2018 - Thursday, 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Courtyard by Marriott, Culver City
Speaker: Michael Lattimore
Topic: Opening the Hackers Toolkit: The Project Manager as Cyber Defender
Companies worldwide are investing millions in the latest and greatest technology infrastructure to protect their data from human attackers. While they grow steadily “hard and crunchy” on the outside, they become “soft and chewy” on the inside as the human firewall fails and allows the attackers in.
End-users have been responsible for billions of data records breached over the past decade. As we anticipate the emergence of malicious AI code, the truth is beginning to be revealed; a machine cannot provide adequate protection against a human or AI adversary, and bolt-on security is never as effective as built-in security.
The project manager is in a unique position to ensure that projects are designed with security built-in early, rather than bolted-on later.
Key Issues Covered:
- Opening the Hackers Toolkit: Project Manager as Cyber Defender
- The State of Crypto-Crime
- Malicious AI- “Danger Will Robinson”
- CIA? – Why is my data leaking, invalid and missing
- Supporting the Human Firewall
