In December, PMI-Los Angeles honored and recognized those who make this chapter valuable to the members and the profession — the Volunteers and Volunteer leadership! Each year, we recognize volunteer commitment and say “Thank You” for the hours and hard work contributed to PMI-LA’s success. Filling the top floor banquet room of The Proud Bird on December 13, this invitation-only event was a festive night of dinner and drinks, concluding with an awards presentation and cake.
Volunteer opportunities exist in each level of the PMI-LA chapter, from the Board all the way through to the support committees. Getting involved as a volunteer offers a chance to meet people, strengthen skill-sets, earn PDUs, develop leadership skills and make a difference. You could say that PMI Volunteers are changing the world. PMI-LA volunteers certainly changed our world and it was a night to shine a spotlight on those behind-the-scenes efforts.
