We launched the new Pasadena Toastmasters Club for Project Managers at Cal Tech on January 24. If you want to gain confidence, become a better speaker and leader at work (and in your personal life) then this club is for you!
By joining this Toastmasters District 100, you can go clubbing and have pie!
Once you become a member of Toastmasters you can attend any other club in the local area or in the US or even internationally, if your work takes you abroad. Each club follows the PIE principles – Prepare, Impromptu (speeches), and Evaluation. This was demonstrated at the launch meeting when Pan Kao gave his speech, and later on Maria McHolland gave an evaluation of the evening (they are both Past Presidents of the LA Chapter). Other attendees at the meeting also gave short on-the-spot speeches. It was a very friendly and fun environment, and supported by several LA Chapter members (you may be able to spot them in the photo).
