Congratulations to Vick Madenian who is our Volunteer of the Month for March!
Vick has been a fervent and enthusiastic PMI-LA Associate Vice President of Communications, and Website Director, managing and maintaining the Chapter’s website, tirelessly working on requests to ensure timely completion and response, being a welcoming voice while helping new members with their member logins, and always ready to help where and when needed (even when he’s doing something for the first time). Great Job Vick!
Vick has a B.Sc in Computer Information Systems, Production & Operations Management, and a minor in Economics. He is a proud PMP since 2005, a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and his claim to fame is getting his CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) from Jeff Sutherland, one of the main inventors of Scrum. Vick is currently the Director of Professional Services of Globanet, Inc., managing the Project Management, Consulting and Engineering teams.
A Few Words from Vick…
“I have been a long time member, avid supporter, and repeat volunteer of PMI-LA since I got my PMP in January of 2005. My affiliation with the PMI-LA Chapter, the professional network I’ve made, the peers and mentors I’ve had the honor of associating with, have all been instrumental in the early days of my career, and have carried through my professional life. I look forward to reciprocating the nurture I’ve received through the PMI-LA Chapter, working with my peers and motivating the new generation of budding project managers”
About volunteering, and life in general, Vick’s motto is…
“If you’re gonna do anything, do it with passion, honesty and respect… or don’t do it at all”.
Vick is a proud recipient of the 2007 Charlie Lopinsky, Volunteer of the Year Award
