• The Resume Illusion – Hire the human, not the AI. This is a good article from Robert Half about how interviews are changing since we're all looking so fabulous with strong, well-targeted AI-written resumes. AI is changing how candidates present themselves—in resumes, interviews and beyond. However, no matter how advanced the tools become, the goal remains the same: to hire the right person for the job. In the end, remember, it’s not about who’s best at using AI to apply—it’s about hiring the right human for the job. Use these strategies and tips to do just that.

  Getting ignored isn’t always about being unqualified — it’s often about timing, targeting, and presentation. Work through this list:

  • Clean up resume formatting (no tables, columns, or graphics)
  • Tailor your CV summary and bullet order for each role
  • Mirror exact keywords from the job description
  • Apply within 48 hours of a listing going live
  • Make every screening answer role-specific
  • Follow up one week after applying (when possible)
  • Apply via official company career pages, not just job boards

However, it left us wondering which companies can actually afford the "advanced matching technology and comprehensive suite of assessments."

Wrong Question (12:17) Concepts: “We need to build a future where humans matter more, not less”. “In the age of AI, human value isn’t gone, it’s just moved”. AI augmentation vs replacement: an ideal workforce model is “…where agents win, people matter, and how best to pair them”. “The future isn’t about being more human, it’s about building the systems that will allow humans to do what matters most”.

The Workforce Crisis of 2030 – and How to Start Solving It Now (12:37) Concepts: Even in 2014, speaker Rainer Strack knew AI and technology could help solve a workforce crisis – but not completely. It sounds counterintuitive, but by 2030, many of the world's largest economies will have more jobs than adult citizens to do those jobs. 

The Beauty of Being a Misfit (12:48) Concepts: Finding our "why" can take time, and a whole lotta mistakes along the way. Since some of us had weird, circuitous career paths, so we thought this TED vid might resonate.

How Changing Your Story Can Change Your Life (16:16) Concepts: Stories are the way we make sense of our lives. Are we telling our stories in a particular way that keeps us stuck? Your stories have power, so make sure they help you move forward – and be prepared for change.
