Pasadena On-Site Meeting | Rose Parade Float; Applying 2022 Lessons Learned to 2023

Strategy = Business Acumen

2022- 2023 Self-Built Float for La Canada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association

Applying 2022 Lessons Learned to the 2023 Float

Much of the ability to put afloat on the road has to do with mulling over and applying the lessons learned from the previous year.  Building and decorating a skatepark for Geriatric Dogs was a new challenge with materials and pandemic restrictions. However, the challenge was enhanced by learning new character-building techniques, a renovated satellite, and the integration of a major sponsor creating a new and dynamic environment.

Join me in evaluating what went right, what went wrong, and what can be done better for the 2023 float based on what happened during the 2022 parade and the current world biomedical and geopolitical environment.

Pam Wiedenbeck, as Treasurer of the La Canada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association and a member of the float construction crew, will give you some unique insights into the controlled chaos of the world of the “self-built” float.
