Introduction to SAFe

This Introduction to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) course will provide attendees practical insight into key components of SAFe such as ARTs, PI Planning, Program Roadmaps, Large Solutions, and Portfolios to name a few all contribute the seven core competencies of " Business Agility". This course will enable attendees to understand the purpose of SAFe and how it enables organizations to implement Agile principles at scale.

Learning Outcomes & Objectives

  1. The purpose of the Scale Agile Framework (SAFe) and how it enables Agile principles at scale
  2. How SAFe enables the concept of Business Agility
  3. How to identify when you should use SAFe in an organization and more importantly when you should not

Speaker: Tre Green

green-tre-200x200.jpgTre Green is an IT Strategy and Process Consultant who specializes in the design, implementation and remediation project delivery models and frameworks to improve business value delivery and overall IT organizational performance.

Tre has spent the bulk of his 35-year IT career in consulting (almost 30 years) working for prestigious firms such as EY, Accenture, IBM, KPMG, Infosys, Cognizant as well as his own boutique firm where he guided IT Leadership (middle management through the C-Level) from numerous Fortune 100-500 clients successfully through the steps of an IT Transformation.  Over that same period has held many of the leading IT professional certifications including the Scaled Agile Program Consultant (SPC4), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Cisco Design Professional (CDP) and the Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).  Tre also holds an BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and an MBA with a concentration in Project Management from DeVry University.

When not assisting clients, Tre can be found nurturing his fondness for billiards, military history, eastern philosophy, human psychology, human sociology and finding “forever homes” for homeless pets.
