PMI Los Angeles Chapter (PMI-LA) is thrilled to invite you to commemorate our prestigious honor as the 2024 PMI Chapter of the Year—a recognition earned among 300+ chapters globally for our exceptional growth, innovation, and community impact.

This one-of-a-kind celebration will transport you back in time to the Queen Mary’s maiden voyage, where a thrilling murder mystery awaits. As you mingle with fellow PMI-LA members and guests, you’ll work together to solve the mystery while enjoying a delicious three-course meal, networking opportunities, and the chance to reflect on the incredible achievements of our chapter.

Whether you’re a long-time member, a new face, or one of the dedicated volunteers who made this honor possible, this event is your chance to celebrate PMI-LA’s legacy and look ahead to an even brighter future.  Note:  This event is only available to current PMI-LA Members and they can bring 1 adult guest, registered at non-member rates added to their registration.

Active volunteers from 2023 and 2024 who contributed to PMI-LA’s success and helped us achieve the 2024 Chapter of the Year Award are eligible for a $10 discount on their ticket. PMI Chapter of the Year

The PMI Chapter of the Year Award is a prestigious recognition presented annually to honor exceptional performance, innovation, and community impact among PMI chapters worldwide. In 2024, the PMI Los Angeles Chapter (PMI-LA) earned this distinguished accolade, standing out among 304 global chapters, including large chapters with memberships ranging from 1,500 to 9,000.

PMI-LA achieved remarkable success during the 2023 fiscal year, highlighted by a record-breaking 21.5% membership growth, reaching 2,268 members and surpassing pre-pandemic numbers. This growth was fueled by a strategic focus on member engagement, offering a diverse mix of virtual and in-person events, mentorship programs, and career development initiatives.

A cornerstone of PMI-LA’s success is its dedicated volunteer base, with over 75 active volunteers contributing 4,652 hours to deliver meaningful experiences for members. The chapter also excelled in social impact initiatives, collaborating with local nonprofits and introducing a framework for Social Impact Projects, which provided members with opportunities to give back to their communities while fostering professional connections.

PMI-LA’s achievements reflect a commitment to strategic planning, inclusive leadership, and heartfelt volunteerism, making it a model of excellence in the project management community. As the chapter approaches its 50th anniversary, it continues to build on its legacy of growth, innovation, and community service.

Food

Menu Details Subject to Change.

• Starters: Seasonal field greens salad with vine ripened tomatoes hot house cucumbers, carrots lemon thyme vinaigrette, rolls, and butter.
• Entrées (Choose One):
  • Grilled marinated chicken breast with sun-dried tomato pesto and caper artichoke olive relish.
  • Pecan-crusted Colorado trout with French quarter mustard sauce and brown butter cream.
  • Vegetarian option: Mushroom ravioli with roasted vegetables, fresh peas, and roasted red pepper romesco.
• Dessert: Flourless chocolate cake with raspberry coulis.
• Drinks: Freshly brewed regular and decaffeinated coffee, assortment of hot tea, iced tea, and water included. Each attendee will also receive one complimentary drink ticket. Cashless Bar for additional beverages is Credit Card only.

PDUs

This is a celebration and networking event—no PDUs will be awarded.

Parking

Discounted parking is available for $10. Carpooling is encouraged to save on expenses. Take ticket and pay with Credit Card upon exit.

This event may be canceled or postponed by the Chapter, though all efforts will be made to avoid doing so.  If canceled or postponed, notification will be made to all registrants via email.
