Students/Active-Duty Military - $0 and $10.00 without a gift

PMI is evolving with a bold, unifying purpose: “We maximize project success to elevate our world.” But what does that actually look like in the day-to-day work of project professionals—and in the impact we have on our communities and planet?

In this engaging flagship session, we will connect PMI: NEXT, the M.O.R.E. framework, and Project Managers Without Borders (PMWB) to the real-world practice of project management, social impact, and sustainability. We’ll explore how Nurturing our purpose, Empowering ourselves, Expanding our impact, and Tightening our focus (PMI: NEXT) sets the strategic direction, and how Manage Perceptions, Own project success, Relentlessly reassess, and Expand perspective (M.O.R.E.) gives every project professional a practical operating system for maximizing value.

We’ll then bring this to life through inspiring examples from Project Managers Without Borders (PMWB) and other social impact projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, showing how project skills directly improve safety, equity, resilience, and community well-being worldwide. Participants will reflect on their own “portfolio of impact” and identify concrete ways to embed purpose, social impact, and sustainability into their projects – whether in healthcare, technology, public sector, non-profit, or beyond.

You’ll leave with a clearer line of sight from your daily project decisions to PMI’s global purpose – and with actionable ideas to help maximize project success to elevate our world.
