Multi-Chapter | Leading Yourself First : A Power Skill for Every Project Professional
Project Management professionals are trained to manage scope, schedule and stakeholders; rarely are they trained to protect their own capacity while doing it. This session reframes workplace strain as something shaped by the way work happens; unclear priorities, stakeholder pressure, and habits rather than a personal shortcoming or lack of resilience. Using a practical framework, whether leading a team or contributing as an individual; participants will learn to recognize strain early, communicate honestly about expectations, and respond to pressure without quietly absorbing all of it themselves. This session is about leading yourself first, so you can sustain high performance and your wellbeing.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be equiped with:
- Recognizing early signs of workplace strain, in themselves and their teams before it affects performance or wellbeing.
- Apply practical communication strategies to navigate shifting expectations.
- Identify one personal or team practice to support healthier, more sustainable performance.
