Open Opportunity: 2026 Vice President of Operations/President Elect Nomination Now Open to Interested Candidates
Invitation: Make 2026 your year to provide leadership support to PMI-LA! Enhance your project management skills, your organizational “currency” and open your professional sphere to new contacts.
PMI-LA is a volunteer-based organization in operation only to support all of us! At this time of year PMI-LA opens the nomination process for the Board of Directors for the coming year. Of the numerous benefits of membership and the Certification process, the opportunities to build your skill set and add credibility to your resume as a Project Manager are upper-most.
The Board Member position is for those PMI members with a strong work ethic, experience in management and as a volunteer, and ambition to make a difference. The estimated investment in time is approximately five hours a week.
The list of rewards for volunteering your time and providing leadership as a Board Member include:
- Training and support to serve as a Board Member
- Gaining executive leadership experience
- Earning PDU’s – Volunteers can claim up to 25 PDU’s over a 3-year period to maintain credentials.
- Meeting and collaborating with other Project Manager members in the large Los Angeles area PMI chapter.
- Expanding your professional network in numerous industries.
- Supporting other members by sharing your knowledge and skills, especially with newer members.
- Adding credibility to your resume and on-line profiles, such as LinkedIn, by showing that you serve on the Board for the Los Angeles chapter of the international PMI organization.
The term is for one year, beginning January 1, 2026 and continuing through December 31, 2026.

Make it known that your professional progress on the career improvement roadmap is intentional by adding experience that includes executive leadership, team collaboration, critical thinking, stakeholder relations, depth of management scope, expertise in policy management, building training opportunities for members of your profession, and overall experience in organizational processes.
