Feeling burnt out in your current role? Ready for a change in your daily routine? It may be time to transition into a new career role, whether that be Project Management or another growing industry - the same rules apply! Career transitions can be complex and in some cases require a lot of upfront planning. The first step to any career change is to lay the foundation for the journey you will embark upon. During this session, we will discuss how to map out your career transition, transform it into a real project, and the steps to take before you click the “apply” button.

Speaker: Alison Hooks

Alison Hooks is a Senior Project Manager for Subnation - a pioneer Metaverse marketing agency, production house and Web3 media and technology venture studio. Alison is a marketing professional holding a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), Disciplined Agile Scrum Master Certification (DASM), and Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) with a successful track record in various business areas such as demand generation, brand development, digital marketing, and social media.

She has years of experience managing projects in a vast array of industries including gaming/eSports, Web3, software development, government contracts, hospitality, entertainment, casino marketing, professional associations, environmental engineering, real estate, and nonprofit. Her goal is to launch her own project management consultation business and in her free time, she mentors other professionals with their career transition goals.

When she’s not turning every family function into a project, she loves to attend music festivals and go on foodie adventures in search of the most “Instagram worthy” meal!
