PMBOK's 10 knowledge areas are met in the management of a film/TV project
Speaker
Richard Tucci is an accomplished storyteller and technology project manager; an alumnus of both Chapman University and the University of Southern California, he began producing documentaries, commercials, and music videos before he graduated. One documentary project he produced in 2005, WALK IN THE LIGHT, received critical acclaim and was chosen as an official selection at over a dozen film festivals, and was distributed on BET Jazz as a half-hour special in 2007. After graduating, Tucci began his career working under Penny Marshall, where he worked on developing THE JOE FRAZIER STORY, as well as several other projects. Following his time there, Tucci worked as a freelance producer, working on several independent feature films, including the Anjelica Huston film THE KREUTZER SONATA, and the horror feature VIRUS X, distributed by Lionsgate. Tucci has also worked on the producing staff for many reality TV shows. His first breakthrough was on the show HOW TO LOOK GOOD NAKED where he served as Associate Producer on the hit Lifetime Television show. In 2009, he was able to transfer to Paramount Pictures, where he managed post-mastering workflows on Paramount Titles and Acquisitions, and supervised revenue for the department, as they rose from $12 million a year in revenue to $19 million a year. After leaving Paramount, he attained his PMP and CSM certifications. He has been the founding partner in two tech startups, where he managed content and product, and is an active member of the Producers Guild of America.
