Chapter History
Founded in 1974, the PMI Los Angeles Chapter is one of the oldest and largest chapters of the Project Management Institute. What began as a small group of passionate project professionals has grown into a vibrant community of over 2,000 members across Southern California. For more than 50 years, PMI-LA has been committed to advancing the project management profession through networking, education, certification support, and leadership development. Our chapter continues to evolve with the needs of our members—championing innovation while honoring the legacy of those who built our strong foundation.
Our Mission and Vision
Our mission is to provide opportunities for individual growth in project management and increase corporate awareness of the project management profession. PMI-LA will be recognized as a premiere PMI chapter for the advancement of project management and a benchmark for other PMI chapters.

Simona Lovin has been an instrumental volunteer to support Programs, specifically in her role as Director of Speakers Engagement. She has organized the Speakers Database and managed all submissions received from the online "Be a Speaker" form through the PMI-LA website.
